Hi!
Although I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania, I spent most of my life in medium and large
cities. Of the places I have lived, Boston is my hands down favorite. During the winter months, I
teach snowboarding and skiing. I love teaching both sports. Watching someone's face light up
when a new skill kicks in is simply thrilling to me. I've gained a great appreciation of all
teachers, regardless of the subject or level.
Other seasons, I swim laps, work out at the gym, kayak, and bike to keep in shape. Several years
ago, I took a six day bike trip with a friend through France from Chateau-Thierry to Verdun,
tracing the path of my friend's grandfather as he fought in WWI. (We, of course, had a few
chocolate croissants along the way!). An interesting and informative trip, and loads of fun. I
believe travel is important for broadening a person's interests and perspective. I've been to many
places, but would love to do more.
At home, I often have music playing, mostly Chopin, Bach, or Beethoven, which I find very
relaxing. Love going to the BSO, Handel and Hayden Society, or Boston Philharmonic. But I
also enjoy jazz, rock - almost all music. Reading is high on my list. Fav authors? Mitchner,
Updike, Follett, and Roth.
My three kids and their children all live in the Boston area, which makes me a very lucky guy.
They all like each other, and I am crazy about all of them.
I believe I am friendly and sociable, and a bit of a romantic. I am looking for someone to share a
life together and enjoy each other, friends, and the wonders of the world.
